A Message from Braintree's Chairman and Chief Project Consultant
When I founded Braintree Solution Consulting, Inc. in 1998 I had a clear idea of what I wanted the firm to stand for - and against. I saw a need for an organization dedicated to systematic and objective analysis, one which balanced these impersonal tools with a deep and abiding commitment to service.

Our trademarked icon of a tree within a "@" symbol swoop embodies the philosophy and practice of the company. The swoop represents the information and resources that flow in and out of a system or organization, originating from and arriving at tangible resources - symbolized here by our tree. The tree, of course, is an icon of many expressions, most relevant to Braintree as "the tree of knowledge" and our production of "decision-trees," not to mention its branches, roots, leaves, seeds and fruit as metaphors of life, its processes and permutations. But also contained within the tree, capping the top, is a phoenix - symbol of new life and rejuvenation - potentially in flight and yet inseparable from the tree. Taken together, these three images - the swoop, tree and phoenix - represent Braintree's organizational function: to revitalize neglected or sub-optimized solutions, to resurrect and apply information and knowledge, to renew the commitment of organizations and partners, and to transform individuals, organizations and communities. These commitments define our existence.
